Grow deep roots. Cultivate strength. Find peace.
Practice Owner & Counselor
Monica believes that everyone has the capacity to grow, heal, and create meaningful change in their lives. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate (LPC-Associate) currently accruing the required supervised clinical hours under the guidance of Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, Carlete Metoyer, MA, LPC-S.
With over a decade of experience providing counseling support in educational settings and 20 years in education, Monica has developed a deep understanding of the challenges adolescents and young adults may face. She specializes in helping clients navigate life’s transitions, manage anxiety, build confidence, and grow into the person they want to become.
Monica strives to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to explore their experiences. Her clinical approach is rooted in the understanding that our thoughts can influence our emotions and behaviors. Through exploring, challenging, and reframing unhelpful thought patterns, she helps clients develop healthier perspectives, strengthen coping skills, and move toward lasting growth.
At Oak & Olive Therapy, Monica believes therapy is a collaborative process—an opportunity to develop deeper roots, cultivate inner strength, and move toward greater peace.
